About Isabel

Isabel is a licensed psychologist in Brazil where she kept a private practice and worked in clinical and institutional settings. She moved to the United States in 2007 to work and study at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. Early on she participated in various trainings with renowned teachers that deeply influenced her worldview, like Stanislav Grof, one of the founders of Transpersonal Psychology and researcher on non-ordinary states of consciousness, the historian and author Richard Tarnas, and Jungian analyst and author Jean Shinoda Bolen, among others.

Isabel regularly attends annual silent meditation retreats to inform and inspire her work and life. She is committed to studying and teaching the dharma, empowering individuals to live with heart, soul, and meaning.

As a dharma teacher, Isabel draws upon her years of dedicated practice and study to share the transformative teachings of the Buddha. She embraces an approach rooted in hospitality, offering genuine warmth and thoughtfulness to daily interactions. Her aspiration is to make each moment count, spreading joy and making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Included in her offerings is Jungian dreamwork. Dreams hold deep symbolism and messages, and she guides her clients in amplifying their meanings and insights, allowing them to tap into the wisdom that dreams offer.

With a foundation of over 25+ years of experience and a deep commitment to service, Isabel is here to support her clients every step of the way.
